Who are we?

Kbt Community Theatre is a not for profit theatre group serving the outer northern suburbs of Melbourne.

Kbt Community Theatre was founded in 2024 by Michael Kneebone. With the help from a group of like-minded people that also saw a desire for a theatre group in the north, we were able to put on our first production exactly a year after the day of it’s origin.

We believe that everyone can be a part of theatre. We affirm that everyone can express themselves through this art form whilst enriching the community.

Our policy is to make theatre fun, safe, and educational. We do not have a age limit on any of our rolls, and will not discriminate against any personal factors. This is your safe space of creative expression, and we look forward to having you as a part of our cast and crew.

Our EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE

Michael Kneebone

I wish to help provide a place where people in the community can come together and entertain others with their skills and talents. This not only brings pleasure to the performers but also to the listeners as we share these experiences. During my school years, I performed in musicals such as “Oliver” and “Brigadoon” as a lead to name a few. In my twenties, I was in various bands as a singer and I later worked at Newcastle Workers Club as a tech helping such bands as The Electric Light Orchestra, Ted Mulry Gang, and various other touring bands and entertainers.
